Join Us for a Literacy Event!

events Mar 24, 2021

This Saturday, the Climbing the Ladder of Reading Conference will be held virtually. This event will showcase professionals who will share their expertise on meeting the needs of 2e students, dyslexia awareness, science of reading in the general classroom, online instruction, meeting social-emotional needs, movement strategies, bridging word study and OG, and interactive and engaging therapy and lesson ideas. I've had quite a few people ask me if this conference is for them. This week on the blog, I am providing an overview of the conference and its presenters to help those who are wavering on whether to attend the live event.

First, I want to briefly touch on who this conference is for. The information that will be presented will be helpful for general classroom teachers, special education teachers, Gifted and Talented teachers, reading and literacy specialists, CALT/CALPs, administrators, and parents. The trainings will be useful and relevant for those just starting to understand the science behind learning to read to those who would like more ideas, strategies, and tips.

This conference will also provide 6.5 LIVE hours of training that qualify for ALTA in-person CEHs. Plus, there will be 5 prerecorded sessions to watch and send in for recorded ALTA CEHs. All live recordings will be uploaded to the course page after the sessions and will be accessible for 6 weeks. This provides a perfect opportunity to complete your learning at a time that works best for you.

There will be handouts and materials for downloading from the presenters. Because the event will be live, there will be opportunities to interact with them. Attendees will have time to ask questions and get answers directly from these experts. Practical therapy and instructional ideas will be shared that can be used right away in practice.

Everyone who purchases a ticket will have access to all live sessions and prerecorded sessions for 6 weeks. This is also great for those who may not be able to attend on Saturday but would like to have this valuable information. As a bonus, there will be giveaways happening throughout the live presentations.

Next, I'm going to give you a peek at some of the presenters who will leave you refreshed and recharged:

Some questions to ask yourself to see if you should attend:

  • Do you enjoy learning in a hands-on environment?
  • Do you need practical ideas you can actually use?
  • Would you like ideas on how to apply the newest research on how children learn to read into your structured literacy design?
  • Do you want to help ALL of your students find success in the classroom setting and beyond, no matter where they fall on the learning spectrum?

If you answered yes to these questions, then click here to read more about the event. The countdown is on! Register now!

Comment below if you have any other questions, and be sure to click here for more details about the live event.

Have a great week!
