The Journey Begins Now...
We each have a history - a series of events that align to create our path, our journey. Speaking to children and adults with dyslexia, it is clear that the lasting threads of the impacts of dyslexia can remain, even when receiving proper academic interventions. Hi There! I'm Casey Harrison

Almost three decades ago, I began my journey as an educator and sought more knowledge about dyslexia and reading instruction. This became my passion and led me to specialized training for helping those with dyslexia.
Working with dyslexic learners for the past 17 years has been the most rewarding opportunity for growth for my students and myself. Through this, I began to see dyslexia as a journey—something that can't simply be addressed through academics alone but requires an integration of multiple factors, and through this, the Integrated Framework came to be.
I wrote Teaching Beyond the Diagnosis to meet my readers at the starting line—to come together to reflect and forge a path that empowers and honors all parties as we create a path forward.
